Heart of the street

Just returned home from 2 months abroad. I’ve done little except eat and sleep these days. I was exhausted, especially since Scandinavian cities were very small and quaint, so Z and I walked everywhere. Near the end, in Copenhagen and Stockholm, I had to give up on the heels and just trekked about in flip flops–though let me tell you, even in August, Scandinavian weather is not kind conducive to open-toed footwear. These places are chilly.
We did a lot of shopping, though I didn’t buy as much as I would like. We walked down Stroget in Copenhagen way too many times. Likewise with Drottninggatan in Stockholm. We visited Topshop, COS, way too many H&Ms, Vero Moda, Zara, Gina Tricot, Illum, Ivan Grundhal in Copenhagen, and Galeria and NK in Stockholm, where Z bought a pair of bomb Hugo Boss heels. For how much I shopped I really didn’t buy very much. However, we rubbed a few heavenly mink coats and nearly died from the butter softness of those $4,000 fur coats. We vowed to one day own one–yes, we are horrible people.
In Amsterdam we lived right next to the main shopping street, and our hotel was next door to the G-Star Raw flagship store. I saw this awesome denim jacket for ~$300, I was so enticed, but I didn’t believe they wouldn’t sell it at other G-Star retailers, so I put it off until Stockholm. Only to find out that jacket was stocked only in Amsterdam. I’m such an idiot!
PS–temporarily switching back to the old layout while we figure something out–the new one was draining bandwidth.
