denim dress: Miss Selfridge, Wedges: Acne. I’ve for the past two months been having an obsession with denim jumpers and dresses and so far have been indulging this obsession solely through Miss Selfridge, which often has awesome denim stuff on sale. Though I fear denim romper days are numbered; it’s getting colder here and I have absolutely no tolerance for wind or chill. RIght now, I would die for a monkey fur jacket.

Purchased these Gianni Meliani Marni-like wedges from Yoox, discounted to $45 from $225. That’s what I call a deal.

I got this coat off eBay for about $20 I think. After a dry clean, it was good as new! It’s quite cute in real life.

About half a year ago I link a demo of Madonna ft. Lil Wayne’s “Revolver.” Well, the finished product is here….I’m not sure if I like it better or not.

One thing’s for sure; the lyrics haven’t gotten any less catchy…

Two years ago, when I went to Yale’s admit weekend, I visited the Yale Daily News‘ office and fell in love with the paper and the staff atmosphere. It was 2a.m. but everyone was buzzing. The photo editor was smoking hookah out a window watching a game while the NEWS editors slaved and joked across a barrier. I asked one of the main news editors how late she worked everyday–she cheerfully replied, “4a.m., 5 if it’s really late.” Without a single complaint. And the sports editor, who was going on Jeopardy later in the week (!), was also watching the game in his office. We ended up talking for 30 minutes, and he told me all about his ambitions to go to law school and how much he loved sports.

Even though I ultimately chose another college, my memories of the YDN motivated me to join the college newspaper, and I’ve got to say, the YDN’s exceptional coverage of graduate student Anne Le’s murder has been very professional. They are making college newspapers proud.

I bought the I am T-Pain iphone app (which is really fun) and was reminded how much I loved the song Dream Girl by Tay Dizm and Akon. It’s cheesy as shit, but…
